I have made the difficult decision to wind down towards retiral and so will not be accepting any new students. (I will continue to tutor my current students until they finish their school chemistry studies.)

My name is Elizabeth Cullen. I am based in the Dalgety Bay area of Dunfermline, Fife and provide online chemistry tuition to support students across Scotland with exam success. I specialise in making chemistry clear in preparation for National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher Chemistry exams.

Online Tutoring to Support Focused Learning

Although I was initially sceptical about the effectiveness of online tuition instead of face-to-face tuition, I used Zoom to provide tuition during the Covid 19 situation and found it to be very effective. It also has some advantages over face-to-face tuition:

Parents do not have to struggle to bring students to me.
If students have a mild cold or other infection, but are well enough to attend school, they do not need to cancel their tuition.
I can tutor students wherever they live in Scotland.

Registered, Experienced Tutor

I am registered with the GTC and have more than 28 years teaching experience, including almost 15 years as Principal Teacher of Chemistry. I am now entering my 13th year as a private tutor. I hold an Enhanced Disclosure Certificate from my previous employment with Fife Council and I am also a member of the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme.
